The Old Post Office is a cosy cottage in the centre of the picturesque village of Cilcain, North Wales. In the heart of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cilcain was named one of the "20 Best Secret Villages to Live In" by the Sunday Times.
Once the hub of the village our property has been lovingly converted into an open plan space which accommodates four, perfect for couples, family, friends and even corporate stays.
Just a short walk from the property is the local pub The White Horse, the community run village shop and children's play area.
The Old Post Office features a master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining/living space. An additional bedroom is located on a mezzanine level. The master bedroom offers a luxurious king-size bed, while twin beds are located on the mezzanine. Premium linen and towels are offered in both bedrooms.
The living/dining area includes a table with seating for four, sofa and armchair. Log burning fire with one basket of logs provided (between November and February) and smart TV.
A space to relax after walking and exploring.
There are numerous walking trails locally. The Leete path takes you to Loggerheads Country Park and Moel Famau and Moel Arthur can be reached from the village.
The Offa's Dyke Path passes over Moel Famau and on to Moel Dywyll, Moel Llys-Y-Coed and Moel Arthur.
We are also only an hours drive from Snowdonia National Park with it's spectacular mountain range offering a wide range of challenging paths.
Other local attractions include Zip World, Chester Zoo and a number of National Trust properties.
The market town of Mold is just a 10 minute drive away and a bustling market is held every week on a Wednesday and a Saturday. Mold is also home to Theatr Clwyd, which has just undergone a huge renovation. The Theatre offers a diverse range of shows including drama, comedy, musicals and family-friendly productions.
